Lloyds Bank Statement to Excel & CSV Converter
Lloyds' own CSV export only covers the last 12 months, caps out at 150 transactions per download, and only works on the desktop site. If you need an older statement, a full tax year, or more rows than that, this converts the actual statement PDF instead — no cap, no limit.

Why Lloyds customers end up needing a converter
Lloyds does give you a CSV export, so on paper this shouldn't be a problem. In practice, the export only covers the last 12 months, stops at 150 transactions per file, and is only available when you're on the desktop site rather than the app. Anyone needing a full tax year, a mortgage application's worth of history, or a busier account's transaction volume runs into the cap fairly quickly.
The PDF statement doesn't have that limit, but it brings its own problems. Lloyds frequently wraps longer transaction descriptions across two or three lines, so copying straight from the PDF tends to scatter one transaction across several rows. Dates are printed as DD/MM/YYYY, which Excel can silently misread as month-first if your spreadsheet or system locale doesn't match — anything before the 13th of the month is especially easy to get wrong.
This converter reads the PDF directly, merges wrapped descriptions back into a single row per transaction, and outputs dates in an unambiguous format — so nothing needs fixing by hand afterwards.
How to download your Lloyds statement
- Sign in to Lloyds Internet Banking from your usual browser.
- Select the account you need a statement for.
- Open Statement options within the account view.
- Choose the statement period you need from the list.
- Download or save the PDF, then upload it above.
Menu labels change from time to time, so treat this as the general path rather than exact wording. Lloyds keeps up to seven years of statements available online.
Also bank with Halifax or Bank of Scotland?
Both are part of Lloyds Banking Group and use a closely related statement layout. If you hold accounts across more than one of these brands, each PDF converts through the same tool — just upload each statement separately and it'll be picked up correctly.
What people use their converted Lloyds statement for
- Full tax year for HMRC — get past the 12-month CSV limit for self-assessment.
- Mortgage applications — lenders want 3–6 months in a reviewable format, not a stack of PDFs.
- Xero / QuickBooks / Sage import — a clean CSV that imports without manual field mapping.
- Tally for accountants — direct Tally XML for clients' Lloyds accounts.
- Reconciliation — match Lloyds transactions against your books without the 150-row cutoff getting in the way.
- Multi-brand accounts — combine Lloyds, Halifax and Bank of Scotland statements into one clean set of spreadsheets.
Frequently asked questions
Can I export a Lloyds statement to CSV or Excel directly from online banking?+
Only partly. Lloyds' built-in CSV export covers the last 12 months of transactions, is capped at 150 transactions per download, and only works on the desktop site — not the app. If you need an older statement, a full tax year, or more than 150 transactions in one file, you'll need to convert the statement PDF instead.
Does this also work for Halifax and Bank of Scotland?+
Yes. Halifax and Bank of Scotland are both part of Lloyds Banking Group and use closely related statement layouts. If you hold accounts across more than one of these brands, each PDF converts the same way — just upload them separately.
Why do Lloyds statement dates sometimes come out wrong in Excel?+
Lloyds prints dates as DD/MM/YYYY. If a statement is opened in a US-locale copy of Excel, or the date column is copy-pasted straight from the PDF, day and month get swapped for any date under the 13th. Our converter outputs ISO format (YYYY-MM-DD), which Excel reads correctly regardless of your regional settings.
Lloyds statement descriptions wrap across two lines in the PDF — will that break the conversion?+
No. Lloyds frequently splits longer payment references and descriptions across two or three lines within a single transaction row. The converter recognises this wrapping and merges it back into one description field per transaction, rather than creating extra blank rows.
What formats can I export to?+
Excel (.xlsx), CSV, and Tally XML. Tally XML is built for bookkeepers managing Lloyds accounts for clients who file through Tally, saving a manual CSV-mapping step.
Is my Lloyds statement stored anywhere after I convert it?+
No. Under our Zero-Retention Protocol, your file is processed over an encrypted connection and permanently deleted the moment your download completes. Nothing is stored, shared, or reused.
How far back can I convert Lloyds statements?+
Lloyds gives you up to seven years of statements through online and mobile banking. Any of those can be downloaded as a PDF and converted here — there is no 12-month limit like the native CSV export.
